Features of Onyx Marble

MARBLE

Marble is famous all over the world for its natural quality, texture, and patterns. It creates a beautiful design of flooring and walls in the home, offices, shopping malls, hotels as well as various archaeological use from the ancient times.

Marble has both a scientific and commercial definition. Scientifically, marble was once limestone that achieved metamorphosis from intense pressures and high temperatures within the earth. This altered its crystalline structure and introduced other minerals that produced the valuable colors and veining. Commercially, any stone capable of taking a polish (with the exception of granite) is known as marble. This includes travertine, onyx, serpentine and limestone.

TRAVERTINE

Travertine is a natural stone like Marble, Granite, Onyx, Limestone, Slate etc. The key difference between Travertine and other natural stones lies in the formation of the rock, the hardness of the stone and the appearance. Travertine is formed in hot springs and/or limestone caves. Travertine is not the same as Marble or Limestone which falls in the metamorphic rock category. Key characteristics of Travertine stone are the holes within the stone which are caused by carbon dioxide evasion.

Travertine performs very much like a limestone, is slightly more absorbent, and may scratch or etch. Most come with an epoxy resin to fill the naturally-occurring holes created during its formation.

  • Travertine is common for both exterior and interior purposes.
  • Most natural travertine is dark, ranging from ecru to dark red, with a variety of vein colors.
  • Natural travertine is softer than marble or granite and should be sealed.

WHITE Cement

White Cement with Iranian standard No. 2931 is one of the various types of cement with a characteristic that the chromatic chemical elements are not present in raw material and production process is slightly different than grey cement. Besides the whiteness this type of cement has a relatively higher strength compared to grey Portland cement.

White cement application comprises of; building facade, Ceramic and tile works, groove filling, decorative interior/exterior works, mosaics, artificial stones, flooring, pre-fabricated walls, concrete parts, curb stones, blocks and etc.

Also due to its high compressive strength, it is used in applications where high strength and durability is expected. Product standard: EN 197-1:2011 • Iran standard (INSO)NO. 2931:2014 ; UNE 80305:2012 Physical description and use: White Portland cement is a White powder that is mainly used in decorative construction. It is typically supplied in 50kg, 40 kg and 25kg bags. In large volume it can also be sold in bulk form. (White Portland Cement Also known as Hydraulic White Portland cement).
